Background Check Policy for Employees and Volunteers
At DePaul Cristo Rey, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of quality education. One of the best ways to give our students and their families’ peace of mind that we have a safe and secure environment is to ensure we hire and maintain a work force of high integrity. We conduct criminal and other background checks as well as drug tests on new employees and volunteers as required or appropriate and in accordance with all applicable laws.
This school complies with The Decree on Child Protection which is promulgated by the Archbishop of Cincinnati. Our fingerprinting policy includes manual fingerprinting for employees and electronic background checks for all employees and volunteers.
Job offers made to new employees or eligible former employees applying for rehire are contingent upon successful completion of reference checks, criminal background checks, drug tests, and other background checks, as required or appropriate and in accordance with all applicable laws.
