Educational Management Information Systems (EMIS) Specialist

We are seeking a professional with the ability to manage the network for the computerized student administration system; support a variety of software packages; provide instruction and advice to system users; and coordinate usage among all system users.

Candidates are required to have:

  • Associate's Degree in related field or subject.
  • Experience working with high school aged students preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with experience using Excel, Access and SQL query tools (preferred).
  • Must complete VIRTUS Child Protection course prior to employment with DPCR.
  • The completion of a FBI, BCI&I and drug screening.

Spanish Teacher

Successful applicants will embody the mission-commitment, intellectual curiosity, openness to growth, optimism, and zest that are central to the character of our staff. In addition, they will meet or exceed the following requirements:

  • Must be proficient in speaking Spanish.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major, minor, or comparable credential of content expertise in the primary teaching discipline.
  • Teaching license and/or certification in the primary teaching discipline or demonstrable progress towards obtaining licensure.
  • Proficiency using technology to advance teaching and learning;
  • Proven track record of achieving success personally and professionally
  • Committed to educationally underserved students
  • At least two years of full-time teaching experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and ability to work effectively as part of a team and efficiently as an individual
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability and desire to work and participate in a faith-based organization
  • Valid driver’s license; must be insurable with good driving record
  • Must possess valid driver’s license with active automobile insurance and is insurable
  • Must complete VIRTUS Child Protection course prior to employment with DPCR.
  • This position requires completion of a FBI, BCI&I and drug screening
  • Preferred experience using Comprehensible Input (CI) foreign language instruction.
  • Self-starter eager who takes initiative and is solution oriented.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment with a high degree of attention to detail and concern for the individual student.
  • Proficient in PC applications and other electronic/web-based equipment
  • Highly proficient in the use MS Office Suite, calendar and other software applications to support the Tablet PC program
